IES ‘Lighten Up!’ Luminaire Competition

Participants will design and create a luminaire based on a given theme using the resources and LED light source provided. Each Section will have a people’s choice and Judge’s choice winner, based on aesthetics, creativity, and theme interpretation. The Judge’s award winner from your participating section will be submitted for international voting on the IES Lighten Up webpage. Grand prize (and of course bragging rights) is still in the works.

PARTICIPANTS WILL BE DIVIDED INTO TEAMS,
WHERE THEY WILL DESIGN AND BUILD A LUMINAIRE WITH CRAFT MATERIALS, LIGHTING CONTROLS, AND LAMP SOURCES.  – Materials sponsored by DiodeLED & TLA

Winner Awards & Prizes day of – Judge’s Choice Winner also goes onto national judging by IES.
