Confinement Lighting Overview 

Confinement fixtures resolve unique challenges not seen in any other environments. Products installed in cells are subject to deliberate and repeated tampering. These fixtures must be able to withstand calculated, creative, and repeated attempts to disassemble, modify, and otherwise compromise the integrity of the protective envelope. Design life must be measured in decades rather than years.  Mary has a unique insight into local facilities (has family in law enforcement) which lends to practical presentations about how and why we use special confinement lighting.

About the speaker

Mary Hollenbaugh, LC, is an Architectural Sales Manager from Healthcare Lighting and Luminaire LED, a part of Acuity Brands Lighting and Controls.  She focuses on lighting solutions for Healthcare, Behavioral Health, Confinement, and Vandal prone environments.  She has been part of the Lighting Industry since 2013, during the transition from CFL to LED, and Mary says that is why she fell in love with Lighting Technology.  Mary’s best skill is her ability to “dig into” highly technical products and present/train others in a fun and comprehensible manner.   She holds a BA degree in Communications from Cal-State, Fullerton, and is an active member of IES
